Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand re-opening of Beach Floor & Décor with a ribbon cutting at its showroom in the Palm Ridge Plaza. In March, the island business that has been creating interior designs and floor to ceiling renovations, for the past 40 years, changed ownership and the company celebrated this new ownership and team.
“Our team’s broad business experience is a big advantage,” said EVP of Client Service and Development Jim Walseman, who spent 25 years as vice president for a regional credit union in Boston before a successful career as a Realtor on the islands. “This business background that both me and the new owner have, gives us a unique perspective on how we manage each project.”
Beach Floor & Decor’s showroom is a one-stop shop for the finest manufacturers of interior products with thousands of samples. They will even schedule a home consultation and bring the samples to you, making it convenient to start the redesign process. The Beach Floor & Décor team will work with your contractor, too.
The new owner is very community oriented, and wanted to take the opportunity to give back and started by collecting donations for F.I.S.H. of SANCAP during the ribbon cutting. They were able to raise $440 for both organizations thanks to 44 attendees at the Grand Re Opening. She also plans to host future events in support of local non-profits. “Giving back is very important to me,” she said.
“We welcome Jim and his team to the business community,” said Chamber President John Lai. “Beach Floor & Décor has been on the island for many years and we are happy to see it carried on by such a wonderful group of people.”
